Deep-Fried Prawns in Bean Curd Skin  

A sensational treat for all occasions. Fried to perfection, the bean curd accentuates the taste and bite of the fresh prawns, making this dish hard to resist.

  • 10 x 40g medium-sized prawns(shelled and deveined with tails kept)
  • 10 celery (thin strips)
  • 10 red carrots (thin strips)
  • 10 pieces KCT Bean Curd Skin
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp KCT Hoi Sin Sauce
  • 1 tsp KCT Light Soya Sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp potato starch
  • some pepper
  • Marinate prawns for 20 minutes.
  • Place a prawn onto the edge of piece of bean curd skin. Insert celery and carrot strips into the back of the prawn.
  • Roll up bean curd skin with the prawn and seal with flour-and-water mixture.
  • Deep-fry prawn in moderately hot oil (70% of full heat in order to avoid burning) till golden brown. Serve with KCT Sweet & Sour Hot Bean Paste for better taste.
