Harvest Celebration  

Special occasions are never complete without the Harvest Celebration, the golden crispy exterior keeps the sweet tender groupa meat warm inside.

  • 1 garoupa, 800g
  • some small bak choy
  • some sliced fried egg
  • some minced garlic
  • some minced ginger
  • ½ can custard powder
  • ½ tbsp KCT Light Soya Sauce (Special)
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp KCT China rice vinegar
  • ½ Chinese wine
  • Debone the fish and cut a cross on both sides. Marinate for 15 mins with some Chinese wine and salt.
  • Heat oil in a wok. When oil is 90% hot, dip fish into custard powder and add it to the oil. Deep-fry till cooked. Place fried fish, small bak choy and sliced fried egg onto a plate and arrange into the shape of corn.
  • Heat oil in a wok and fry minced garlic and minced ginger. Add in half bowl water and seasoning, thicken with corn flour and pour gravy over "corn" fish.
